Q: What’s special about the way you work with clients? What unique strength sets you apart and adds to the Kony DBX brand?

A: Passion. I enjoy Digital Transformation projects. Working and collaborating with our partners to help navigate the best approach forward in their digital journey is rewarding and fun. Having done this for smaller credit unions and fortune 500 companies in multiple industries, I can provide our partners with internal knowledge combined with best-in-class digital practices. Kony DBX is a complement to that since it was built on a cross-industry, best of breed platform that is making the digital banking challenge dynamic, unique and within all our client’s reach.

Q: Talk about a highlight in your career or a project that was particularly successful. How do you bring that to bear on Kony DBX customers?

A: A transformation project I have worked on was for the largest Japanese auto company in the US and their captive finance arm to bring automotive retail to a digital level. In the project, we had to deal with major legacy systems and most importantly a culture across all stakeholders involved in the retail and finance process. The experience dealing with several large organizations, independent franchise owners, and corporate headquarters thousands of miles removed from direct customer interactions was a lesson in how all things in digital rely on a shared vision, collaboration and great vendor partnerships to get it done.

Q: With your level of expertise, you could work almost anywhere. What draws you to Kony DBX—and not anywhere else?

A: I had an opportunity to work with Kony as a potential client in the past and was impressed by the technology, the vision for the future and more importantly the partnership the team showed before and after the process. Those are rare to find in one vendor and when given the opening, it was easy to come onboard as an employee.

 Q: How do you work as an individual and also as a member of a team? How does collaboration occur on a practical basis at Kony?

A: I believe in setting up everyone in our team for success as a basis for all my internal and client decisions. In order to do that, collaboration, communication, and transparency always need to be present. I have found from day one that the same philosophy has been shared with all the Kony teams.

 Q: Where do you see digital banking taking us in the next five years? What should people be preparing for now, that is yet to come?

A: I believe banking will not be traditional banking in the sense of brick and mortar and simply providing the ability to do basic financial transactions. It will evolve toward a life partnership model where you could simply ask - do I want to buy X? Do I need to make a payment to Y? Or do I need to receive money from Z? Financial Institutions will need to provide the best route proactively for everything you do financially without the complexities. Who cares what an ACH, bill pay, or a wire transfer is? Really! The simplification and partnership will have to happen on demand via your mobile or in-person channels if you choose it.
